And Education For All
Despite news to the contrary, America is still the land of opportunity. Give us your tired, your poor, your huddled masses, that's not just lip service it's what the country was founded on. Because original settlers (European settlers, that is) were essentially outcasts, America was founded on the idea that everyone should have an opportunity to grow as a person and become a leader. Everyone should be educated, not just those with a wealthy background. After all, an educated public is a strong and healthy one. In the United States, everyone has the right to college, and if you would like to, no matter your race or background, there is Grant Money out there to help you reach your full potential.
Whether or not the American dream still exists, or was ever a tangible idea to begin with aside, anyone from the poorest farmer in the plains to the forgotten inner-city child in the ghetto has a chance to go to college. That is not just lip service; that is the truth. If someone works hard enough they can get loans, scholarships and Grant Money to fund their journey through higher education. In fact, school grants like the Federal Pell Grant Program are set up specifically for people who cannot afford college. Most state governments have separate grants that they will give students to pay for college. States want their citizens to make money as that means more taxes and revenue for them in the long run.
There is even more Grant Money out there for people with disabilities and other mitigating circumstances. In addition, with the economy the way it is, there are additional grants out there for single mothers looking or adults who are looking to go back to school and get a college education. Even different businesses will sometimes offer free grants to students who excel in community service or other areas.

Regardless of how what you might here, the economy will one day get better and people will be hiring again. When that day comes, the job force will need a whole new generation of educated people manning posts. An education is still a must have thing, and thru a variety of Grant Money opportunities, it is still within everyone's reach. |
